A new group has started in Colorado. The Colorado Public Safety Unmanned Aircraft Systems Association can be found online at www.cpsuas.org.
Founder David Spraggs said, “Over the last 18-months I’ve spoken to so many agencies from Colorado and around the Country. I really saw a need for a new professional organization to bring together Colorado public safety agencies – whether they are currently using UAS or interested in developing a program.”
The goal of the organization is to facilitate information sharing, collaboration, establish best practices, discuss use cases, and provide training opportunities.
David said, “I want this organization to bring together police, fire, ems, search and rescue, etc. There is currently no cost to join.”
The site went live about 2 weeks ago and I’ve got department members from 14 Colorado public safety agencies represented. There is a members only forum area that will be utilized to share information.
