Aircraft Accidents for First Responders

The FAA has shared a presentation with me that is very informative for law enforcement and fire department staff. They have given me permission to share it with you.

The presentation helps to educate people about a number of issues surrounding aircraft crashes but talks specifically about the number of explosive devices that are now on small aircraft that first responders need to be aware of. A refresher on the process of handling a crash site is helpful information as well.

The presentation can be downloaded through this link.

Departments are free to present the information to staff and/or contact the FAA staff identified in the presentation for more help, information, or assistance.
